Dr. Rachel Kovacs is a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland and has experience treating children, adolescents, and their families. She trained at several pediatric hospitals across the country including The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Primary Children’s Hospital, and Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins Medicine. She specializes in working with children with chronic medical conditions. She is a published researcher, most recently in Journal of Clinical Psychology in Medical Settings entitled: “Examining Uncertainty in Illness in Parents and Children with Chronic Kidney Disease and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A Mediational Model of Internalizing Symptoms and Health-Related Quality of Life”. Dr. Kovacs has extensive experience treating mood disorders and anxiety with individuals of ages 5 to 40.
